The host of Channel One named five signs of dangerous moles

Doctor Prodeus stated that asymmetric moles can turn into cancerous growth on Channel One, Andrei Prodeus named five signs of moles that pose a danger to humans, as they can turn into a cancerous tumor. His words are quoted by Izvestia.

The TV presenter said that a mole consists of an accumulation of melanocytes – cells that produce pigment. As Prodeus noted, if something goes wrong with these cells, they begin to mutate and form a tumor that gives metastases.

According to the doctor, the first sign that can cause suspicion is the asymmetry of the mole … “Normal, harmless moles are symmetrical,” he said. Prodeus attributed uneven edges to the second sign. He explained that a healthy mole has smooth borders, while a dangerous mole has fjords.

Another cause for concern should be the color of the mole, which should normally be uniform and not multi-colored. Also, the specialist advised to pay attention to the size of the mole. “It is dangerous if the length or width of a mole is more than one centimeter,” he stressed.

“Finally, the fifth sign is dynamics. If the size of even a small mole grows over time, it is better to be examined, “Prodeus said.

The doctor noted that if at least one of the five signs is found, a person should be examined by a dermatologist. Prodeus clarified that it is carried out using a special device – a dermatoscope. If his testimony confirms the suspicions of a specialist, then a more accurate diagnosis will be prescribed – a biopsy, the TV presenter added.

Earlier, Prodeus warned parents about the consequences of children eating smoked meats and other delicacies. According to the doctor, sausage, salted fish, blue cheese and some other foods can harm a child's health: provoke allergies or cause illness in adulthood.
