The Moscow court has arrested MMA fighter Salman Dzhamaldaev until January 6 in a drug case Salman Dzhamaldaev in the drug case. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The athlete will be in custody for one month and 30 days, until January 6. He faces imprisonment for a term of three to ten years under the Criminal Code article on illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture or processing of narcotic drugs on a large scale.
Dzhamaldaev's detention became known on November 8. The Chechen fighter was unable to fly to Grozny, as during the search he was found to have a prohibited substance. A criminal case was opened against him for drug trafficking. It was later revealed that an underage teenager involved in the transportation and delivery of drugs directed the police at the athlete.
