Former Rada deputy German: Yanukovych has the right to regain the presidency
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and associate of the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Anna German in an interview with Ukraina.ru said that since the former head of state was illegally removed from power, he has the right to regain the presidency. According to her, many people in the country are beginning to think about reinstating Yanukovych in office.
She noted that Yanukovych's only chance to achieve truth and justice is to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), since in Ukrainian courts it is not possible to find the truth. In her opinion, the people feel that all the events that took place in the years after the Maidan indicate that one should not expect a fair decision from the courts in the country.
“Many people in Ukraine today openly admit, including in my native Lviv, that under Yanukovych life was easier, life was simpler, prices were lower, energy resources were cheaper. Everything was cheaper, there was work, the standard of living was much higher, “the politician emphasized.
However, she added that she understands well that Ukrainians are unlikely to accept him with open arms and return him to his legal position, since in their minds are deeply entrenched with the misconception that the ex-president fled the country, and was also involved in the killings on the Maidan. The former deputy believes that the return of Yanukovych to power would probably be a good decision for the country, but noted that Ukrainians are not yet ready to think about it.
Earlier it became known that Viktor Yanukovych's lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk said that the information about the presentation by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine of a new charge against the former President of the country Viktor Yanukovych as the head of an organized criminal group (OCG) is a lie. According to him, the dissemination of this information is a fake on the part of law enforcement officers.
