The ex-deputy governor of the Kurgan region was given eight years for abuse of power and a bribe
The former deputy governor of the Kurgan region was sentenced to eight years abuse of office and bribe. This was reported to “Lente.ru” on Tuesday, November 9, in the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) for the region.
According to the investigation, the first deputy governor and director of the Department of the agro-industrial complex Sergei Pugin in 2018 -2019 he conspired with the head of the Shadrinsky district Vladimir Osokin, as well as Vyacheslav Roznin, who served as the deputy head of the Shadrinsky district. They organized the forgery of certificates of completion, according to which the contractor Multiplast LLC received money. The officials knew that the contractor had not performed a number of works and had not supplied part of the equipment, but they paid for it in full. The officials partially divided the money transferred to Mulplast among themselves.
In the course of the investigation it also became clear that Pugin received a bribe with construction materials in the amount of more than 100 thousand rubles from the commercial director of the same Multiplast company for “general patronage” in the implementation of municipal contracts.
Pugin was sentenced to 8 years of general regime. In addition, he was fined almost two million rubles.
