The general believes that the current migration crisis on the Belarusian border is an open aggression against NATO by the regime of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. “Belarus is openly pushing illegal migrants to destroy the infrastructure of our border and the border regime. Polko stressed that, in his opinion, not only Minsk, but also Moscow is connected with what is happening – allegedly thanks to the help of Russia, Middle Eastern migrants got to Belarus and were able to find themselves on the border of the European Union.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Germany Horst Seehofer called on the European Commission (EC) to take the necessary measures to resolve the migration problem. He said that Germany and Poland are not able to cope on their own with the aggravating situation with migrants on the border with Belarus.
On November 8, a group of migrants from the Middle East gathered at the Belarusian-Polish border and tried to break through the fence. The Polish government has estimated their number at 3,000-4,000.
