In Bashkiria, a maniac gerontophile was caught who raped and killed 25 elderly women 
the culprit turned out to be a 38-year-old resident of Tatarstan, Radik T. This was reported on Tuesday, November 9, by MK.
According to the newspaper, the maniac operated in different cities of the Volga region, the Urals and the Central Federal District. He found single women 75-90 years old. At the opportunity, he presented himself as an employee of the social service or the local housing office. He entered apartments under an invented pretext, after which he raped and strangled his victims.
Thus, in 2012, a man killed three residents of Ufa. In Kazan and Izhevsk, there were also several victims, an apron, a wire from an iron, a pillow and even a broom were used as the murder weapon.
During interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had chosen the victims at random near entrances or shops. Sometimes he did not even have to ask for a visit home – the women themselves invited him to come.
Several times a resident of Tatarstan came into the field of view of CCTV cameras, but nevertheless eluded the police.
In 2020, a reward of three million rubles was announced for data about him. But in the end, they caught him with the help of genetic testing, which proved his involvement in a number of murders and rapes.
The offender told the police that the main motive was robbery – he was allegedly constantly starving, lived on the street. But psychologists question his words. They believe that Radik enjoyed the murder itself.
