Semashko spoke at the expert session “Russian-Belarusian relations in 2021: union programs, new challenges and areas of integration”, which is taking place at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The ambassador, however, did not give any timeframe for agreeing on the mechanism.

In addition, Semashko called the transfer of Sputnik V vaccine production technology to Belarus by Russia as an example of allied support and thanked Moscow for lifting transport restrictions on the railway and aviation.

Belarus plans to launch production of Sputnik V on a full cycle by the end of 2021, but Minsk also wants to establish production of Chinese vaccines.
