Another dangerous consequence, according to the doctor, is multisystem inflammation syndrome, a rare disease characterized by fever, oxygen deprivation and low blood pressure. At the same time, he stressed that this condition can occur after other viral infections: flu, chickenpox, measles.

Myasnikov also said that children have become more likely to get COVID-19, but there are few severe cases. “At the same time, there are children who, due to their special genetic properties, are not susceptible to covid at all. At the same time, there are those who can only get severely ill, like adults, “he said.

The specialist added that in the United States recorded more cases of infection of minors with coronavirus than in Russia. As the doctor specified, two million children fell ill in the United States during the entire COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, Myasnikov advised the Russians not to restrain their coughing. The TV presenter explained that this reflex clears the lungs of irritants and foreign objects, and also protects them from viral infections.
