Dmitry Peskov: Russia and the US have mutual requests for countering cybercrime
Russia and the US have mutual requests for how each side can counter cybercrime, in connection with which they develop dialogue and establish cooperation. This was told by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov, quoted by RIA Novosti.
“In this case, there are both requests from the American side to us, and similar requests from us to the American side. And the dialogue is developing in this area … [Competent] services discuss the requests that come in and analyze specific situations if necessary, “- this is how the Kremlin described the productive cooperation between Moscow and Washington.
Peskov added that this sphere of interaction “cannot be in the public plane,” and did not disclose the details of the dialogue.
Earlier, American leader Joe Biden said that he had fulfilled his promise to Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring cybercriminals to justice. The American politician added that Washington is using the full power of the federal government to thwart malicious cyber activity and criminals and strengthen defenses in the United States.
