Singapore authorities will not pay medical bills for unvaccinated COVID-19 patients

“Currently, unvaccinated people make up the vast majority of those who need intensive inpatient care, and put a disproportionate burden on our health care resources,” they said in the department. It is noted that unvaccinated patients who are admitted to hospital with COVID-19 after December 8 will not be treated free of charge. An exception will be made only for sick children under 12 who are prohibited from vaccinating.
The Singapore Ministry of Health noted that the government has paid medical bills of citizens and permanent residents of the country since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, 85 percent of the population in Singapore is fully vaccinated, another 18 have already received the third dose of the drug from COVID-19.
Earlier, Singaporean medical consultant Dale Fisher said that terminally ill citizens diagnosed with COVID-19 make no sense hospitalize, and give them the opportunity to be treated and even die at home, if they express such a desire. In his opinion, this practice is better both for the patient and his relatives, and for the health care system.
