“Fontanka”: in St. Petersburg, a suspect shot down a SOBR fighter to death while catching fraudsters
In St. Petersburg, during a special operation to detain telephone scammers, an employee of a special rapid response unit (SOBR) was killed. This was reported by “Fontanka”.
According to the newspaper, the incident occurred on the morning of November 9 on the Pulkovskoe highway in the Pushkin district of the city. The special operation was attended by employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard. They carried out the arrest of suspected telephone fraud. One of them was driving a Fiat Ducato – he hit and ran over a SOBR fighter. The security officer died on the spot from his injuries. The culprit escaped.
An Intercept plan was introduced in the city. As a result, the driver was detained.
Telephone scammers were deceiving citizens under the pretext of helping relatives in trouble, for example, in an accident.
