ATOR: Vietnam will open to foreigners from November 20 on the principle of “sandbox” This is reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
Thus, the Asian country plans to start receiving guests from November 20 on the “sandbox” principle. At the first stage, travelers who have completed a full course of vaccinations or have recovered from COVID-19 will be able to visit Phu Quoc Island, Da Nang resort, as well as the provinces of Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa and Quang Ninh. At the same time, the passage of mandatory quarantine for vacationers is not provided.
The launch of the second stage is scheduled for January 2022. For tourists with immunity from coronavirus, after a week's stay at the first destination, travel to other destinations will be allowed.

At the third stage, the dates of which have not yet been set, the country is expected to be fully opened for travelers.
It is clarified that entry into the republic will be allowed only if the vacationers have a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 or a certificate of full vaccination (from the end of the vaccination course, at least 14 days and no more than 12 months must pass).
In addition, all tourists are required to present a negative coronavirus test result 72 hours in advance at the airport of arrival before arrival, and medical insurance with coverage for at least 50 thousand dollars (3.5 million rubles).
Earlier in September, it was reported that the Vietnamese authorities would open Phu Quoc Island and Khanh Hoa province for tourists from November 20. At the same time, foreigners will be able to fly to the island only as part of package tours, independent travelers will not be allowed into the country.
