The official representative the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova in Facebook told about the inaccuracies in the article in the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet on the Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
According to Zakharov, the author of the material Gunilla von hall (Gunilla von Hall) incorrectly presented the history of pizza and vodka, which former U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and Lavrov sent to journalists in time of negotiations on Syria.
“Another time he [Lavrov] pity the reporters who waited the whole night, while there were negotiations on Syria. Suddenly, he ordered that in the corridor sent a few bottles of Russian vodka in addition to the pizza that John Kerry ordered for the starving in the press”, — said in the article, Svenska Dagbladet.
Foreign Ministry spokesman pointed out that, although the box with the pizza and were Americans, they weren’t meant to journalists and Russian delegation, waiting until Kerry agreed to a position with Washington.
“Still warm boxes made in the room, and then that Lavrov decided to take the pizza to “starving journalists.” In the press centre he was surrounded by reporters, and one of them said, “a vodka?”. After a couple of minutes the desire was fulfilled. “Pizza from the Americans, the vodka from us,” he said, as he was named Gunilla, “the Russian Tsar of foreign Affairs,”” she explained.
At the end of the message Zakharov expressed the hope that the Swedish journalist will correct the material. “Oh, and one more small detail: Lavrov smokes cigars,” added the spokesman.
