The suspects in the attack on the Russian plane su-24 in Turkey, may be granted Russian Federation as potentially subject to the submitted for ratification in the state Duma of the Russian-Turkish Treaty on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of justice of the Russian Federation Maxim Travnikov, reports TASS.
In the process of discussing the ratification of the contract between Russia and Turkey, Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on defence United Russia Yuri Svitkin reminded about the downed su-24. He noted that a criminal case was opened on the territory of Russia and asked, “how does this look on this example in the framework of today’s ratification”.
“Potentially, individuals who may be suspected or accused of committing crimes that fall under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation can be issued on the basis of this agreement,” said herbalists.
24 November 2015, the Turkish air force shot down a Russian su-24 bomber who participated in the antiterrorist operation in Syria. The plane was shot down by a missile “air-air”, released F-16 fighter of the Turkish air force.
