Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald trump will meet, when deemed possible. This statement was made by the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The words of a diplomat RIA Novosti.
“Agreed to continue contacts, we will have a number of opportunities in the coming months. So, we proceed from the fact that when the President deems it possible, will take place the meeting of President Putin and President trump,” — said Lavrov.
The statement the Minister made after a meeting with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson. According to Lavrov, the parties will maintain contacts. However, as previously noted, the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, at the moment there is no clear understanding when it may take the first meeting between Putin and trump.
The first meeting between the foreign Ministers of Russia and the United States took place on 16 February in Bonn. The talks were held on the sidelines of the Ministerial round of consultations of the “Big twenty”. The agenda of the talks included discussion of cooperation between Russia and the United States on major international issues and bilateral relations.
