Around the world in 2 minutes: Google Maps as an alternative to travel
A student of graphic design has created a video tour of the natural attractions and the streets of major cities of the Earth using only screenshots from Google Maps.
To the 12 anniversary of Google Maps Matteo Archontis created a video tour around the planet: from the streets of new York, and panoramas of the Venice canals to 360-degree overview of the Eiffel tower and flying over the Grand canyon. The creation of the video took about 10 days: 2 day Archontis laboriously collected screenshots of Google Maps, and another week with hypermaps and timelapse drove all into a single video.
