Director of theatre “Satyricon” Konstantin Raikin said that the words about Russia as a “nekrofilskom state” is a phrase from the solo performance “Over the farce of the sky.” About it reports “Interfax”.
The artist recalled that this performance he plays for 15 years. Raikin explained that these words are pronounced based on a line from “Boris Godunov”: “They only know how to love the dead.”
In the solo performance, which Raikin performed in the St. Petersburg Philharmonic society named after Shostakovich, talking about the fate of Russian poets Nikolai Gumilev, Marina Tsvetaeva, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Osip Mandelstam, Joseph Brodsky and others. In a speech Raikin says that geniuses in Russia has always been “etched”.
“We nekrofilskie state, it loves the dead more than the living. Then they called names of streets, squares, metro stations, and before that kill”, is one of the replicas of the play.
Earlier, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov also asked not to pull out of context the words from the play Raikin. According to Peskov, “if you take apart out of context, maybe it’s not quite plausible word in relation to Russia, but he was talking about something else.”
