The Governor of Perm region Viktor Basargin on Monday, February 6, announced the early resignation, reports “Interfax”.
“My term of office ends in may, I would like to ask the President about early resignation”, — he told reporters.
According to him, until September there is little time left, and the candidate nominated by the President to the governors, “is to adapt to the conditions of the Perm region, to find the interaction with the residents, political and social movements of the region.”
Basargin held a post of the Governor of the Perm region from may 2012. Previously, from October 2008, he was Minister of regional development of Russia.
