The Communist party can not communicate with former state Duma Deputy Denis by Voronenkova allegedly testified in the case of treason, the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. This was reported by TASS member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the party, MP Yuri Afonin.
“No communication with him. If confirmed, I went to a country which is hostile to Russia, we with party point of view, we understand, because it’s a very bad situation,” — said the Deputy.
In his opinion, “the time and opportunity to refute the information have Boronenkov were”, and to clarify the circumstances testifying should connect and “public authorities”. “My personal opinion: if it really was, then the damage is serious, the party and the country”, — said the MP.
“The party the issue of exclusion Boronenkov not worth it until then, until circumstances occur in relation to this question support or refute [the testimony],” said Afonin RIA Novosti.
The information that Voronenkov testified the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on the case of Yanukovych appeared on January 27. According to “Kommersant”, it is partially confirmed to the investigators testimony previously given by another former state Duma Deputy Ilya Ponomarev, who received in the summer of 2016 residence permit in Ukraine.
Yanukovych served as President from 2010 to 2014. He left Ukraine in February 2014 after the Euromaidan — mass protest actions in Kyiv and other cities, which ended a violent change of power in the country. Against Yanukovych at home several criminal cases, he wanted, and his property seized.
Denis Boronenkov — the Deputy of the state Duma of the sixth convocation, member of the Committee for security and combating corruption. In December 2016, the media reported that he, along with his wife, Opera singer and former MP from the “United Russia”, Maria Maksakova moved to live from Moscow to Kiev.
