Greater Poland (Poznan) Uprising

The historical region of Poland, the Greater Poland Province, after the third partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1795, became part of Prussia. Under German rule, Poles were subjected to systematic discrimination and oppression. Introduction of a unified passport system in the USSR

On December 27, 1932, a decree was signed “On the establishment of a unified passport system for the USSR Union and mandatory registration of passports.” According to the document, all Soviet citizens over the age of 16, permanently residing in cities, working settlements and working on transport and state farms, were required to have passports. At the same time, the villagers still did not have passports. Simultaneously with this document, on the same day, a resolution was issued “On the formation of the Main Directorate of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Militia under the OGPU of the USSR.” This body was created for the general management and control of the unified passport system. The day of December 27 is considered the day of the foundation of the passport (passport and visa) service.

The International Monetary Fund was founded

Day of the Rescuer of Russia

On December 27, 1990, the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR “On the formation of the Russian Rescue Corps on the rights of the State Committee of the RSFSR, as well as the formation of a unified state-public system for forecasting, preventing and eliminating the consequences of emergency situations” was signed. On January 10, 1994, the State Emergency Committee of Russia was transformed into the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (EMERCOM of Russia). Since 1995, December 27 has been the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation.
