Russians will be able to record violations of each other’s traffic rules

According to Autonews, Russians will be able to record violations themselves. Fines sent using this application will be issued without drawing up a protocol. The current legislation does not provide for such a possibility.

The application is planned to be developed on the basis of the Moscow Assistant – a service through which residents of the capital can send complaints about violations of parking rules and for non-payment of parking. To do this, you need to launch the application on your smartphone, select the type of administrative offense, record it and send it.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice proposed to deprive a driver’s license for three or more gross traffic violations per year. If the amendments are adopted, the term of deprivation of rights will be from one to one and a half years. The department reported that the new code will not increase fines for traffic violations, except for penalties for drunk driving if there are children in the cabin.

In addition, the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that in December they can prepare and consider a bill to toughen penalties for reckless drivers. The document may introduce criminal liability for drivers who have violated traffic regulations several times and have created a danger to people’s lives.
