Russian President Putin described the conversation with US President Biden as a protocol event

Russian President Vladimir Putin called his upcoming conversation with US President Joe Biden a protocol event. TASS reports.

During a meeting on economic issues with the government, Putin asked the cabinet of ministers to speed up the work process, since he still needs to be in time for negotiations with his American counterpart, which will take place in a video call in a closed mode for the press.

“I would ask you to work compactly today, because I still have a protocol event in an hour,” Putin addressed the meeting participants.

A video call between the presidents of Russia and the United States is scheduled for December 7 at 18:00 Moscow time. During the talks, Biden plans to highlight concerns about Russian military activities on the border with Ukraine, as well as highlight the US commitment to Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
