Ukraine adopted a state budget with a deficit

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget of Ukraine for 2022

The Verkhovna Rada in the second reading adopted the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 with a deficit of 3 , 5 percent of GDP. 268 MPs voted for him. This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the adopted bill, the revenues of the Ukrainian budget next year should amount to 1.32 trillion hryvnia (3.59 trillion rubles), expenses – almost 1.5 trillion hryvnia ( more than four trillion rubles).

Since January 2022, the law on the state budget sets the subsistence level at 2393 hryvnia (6513 rubles), for able-bodied citizens – at 2481 hryvnia (6752 rubles). In addition, from October, it provides for an increase in the minimum wage by 200 hryvnia – up to 6.7 thousand hryvnia (18.2 thousand rubles).

Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko noted that the draft budget also includes the allocation of three billion hryvnia (over eight billion rubles) for a special payment program, under which each vaccinated citizen of the country will receive a thousand hryvnia (almost 2.7 thousand rubles).

Earlier it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine increased the country's defense spending as part of the draft budget for 2022. It is noted that they grew by almost 3.7 billion hryvnia (over 10 billion rubles) – up to 323.14 billion hryvnia (over 879 billion rubles).
