VK shares rose 8.51 percent after the sale to Sogaz insurance group

VK (former Mail.ru Group) shares soared up to 1,378.6 rubles apiece (plus 8.51 percent compared to the opening of the main trading session). The growth in shares was recorded after the news that Alisher Usmanov's holding company USM decided to sell its stake in the company to the Sogaz insurance group. At the time of this writing, the cost of securities fell to 1,339.6 rubles, according to the data of the Moscow Exchange.

Now Sogaz, a subsidiary of Gazprom, will receive 45 percent of the stake in MF Technologies, which controlled 57.3 percent of VK votes. We are talking about the share that USM owned through Megafon.
