Russian Foreign Ministry: weekly, more than 50 NATO aircraft are recorded near Russia's borders
The Russian military weekly records flights of dozens of NATO reconnaissance aircraft and drones at the borders of the country. This was reported in the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, November 30, RIA Novosti reports.
As stated in the Russian Foreign Ministry, every week the means of objective control of the Russian Federation reveal more than 50 aircraft of the North Atlantic Alliance near the country's borders.
“NATO is purposefully testing us for strength by sending warships and aircraft to zones in the immediate vicinity of our borders, forcing Russia to react,” the Foreign Ministry said. At the same time, they stressed that all the measures that Moscow is taking in response to such provocations are adequate and restrained.
Earlier in November, the Russian Ministry of Defense repeatedly announced an increase in the intensity of aerial reconnaissance of NATO countries near the Russian borders in the Black Sea … In particular, US Navy P-8A Poseidon patrol aircraft, US Air Force U-2S strategic reconnaissance aircraft and French C-160G Gabriel reconnaissance aircraft were spotted in the area.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed concern about US actions in the Black Sea. In turn, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States will continue to fly, sail and operate in international air and sea space as it sees fit.
