Russian skier Alexander Terentyev won the sprint race in the classic style at the World Cup in Finnish Ruka. This was reported by the Lenta.ru correspondent.
The race was the first in the 2021/2022 season. The Russian athlete covered the distance in 2 minutes 31.9 seconds. In second place is the Norwegian Johannes Klebo, 1.1 seconds behind the leader. Third place went to compatriot Eric Valnes, 2.1 seconds back.
Terentyev is a two-time champion of the 2019 Winter Universiade. He won the sprint at the U23 World Cup.
