Izvestia: Air Defense Forces will receive Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems

The new vehicles will be delivered to the 338th Guards Rocket Brigade. The military will also receive conventional and precision ammunition. The publication notes that the timing of deliveries will depend on the fulfillment of the state defense order.
The head of the missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mikhail Matveyevsky, called a feature of the modernized MLRS. According to him, “Tornado-S” can hit small targets with guided projectiles. The vehicle also received automated guidance systems that allow the crew to prepare a launch in the Tornado-S cockpit.
Previously, the General Director of NPO Splav named after A.N. Ganichev “(part of the Tekhnodinamika holding of the Rostec state corporation) Alexander Smirnov spoke about the start of production of corrected missiles for Tornado-S. According to him, the company signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense for the supply of ammunition.
