A college student from the Nizhny Novgorod region won in online drawing master classes p>
The competition was supported by Victory Volunteers, the Russian movement of schoolchildren of the Leningrad region and the Russian Women's Council.
For a month, students and their parents painted under the guidance of experienced masters: a member of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg Tatiana Zenina, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Konstantin Alekseev and artist Sergei Gorshkalev. Together with their mentors, the participants drew the most famous places of the Leningrad Region – the Oreshek Fortress, the lighthouse on Mayachny Island and the Broken Ring of the Blockade memorial.
Konstantin Alekseev thanked his online students for their hard work and wished to always believe in themselves.
“I am grateful to Olga Amelchenkova for inviting me to conduct such an unusual master class. Together with the students, we drew a lighthouse on Mayachny Island. This is one of the most favorite tourist destinations in the Leningrad Region. It would seem, what is difficult in depicting a lighthouse? Meanwhile, the participants showed their imagination, used different colors in their drawings – both traditional watercolor and gouache and acrylic. Such master classes help children discover the sights of their region, and parents to relax after a week of work and spend time with their child, ”said the artist.
Olga Amelchenkova contacted the winner of the competition, Ekaterina Staroverova, by phone. At first, the girl did not even believe that she had won.
“I am glad that the contest has become popular. Their drawings were sent to me not only by schoolchildren, but also by their parents. It was not easy to choose from such a variety of works. But the work of Catherine made an impression on everyone. She diligently painted every detail, there is a lot of light and air in her paintings. I sincerely congratulate her on her victory, “Amelchenkova said.
