Russia is trying to make Ukraine weak by destabilizing the situation inside the country and blocking it defense cooperation with other countries. Foreign Minister of the republic Dmitry Kuleba said this on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel.

The Foreign Minister named Moscow's main goal in relation to Kiev and stressed that Ukrainian diplomats are already working to counter Russia's attempts to weaken Ukraine from within. According to him, for this they attract the support of key strategic partners from outside.

“It can be weapons, military parts, medical equipment, in-depth exchange of intelligence. We are working to ensure that Ukraine becomes stronger not only on the diplomatic, but also on the military front, “Kuleba explained.

The diplomat also spoke about the threat of a military invasion from Russia and listed a number of factors that, according to in his opinion, may affect the implementation of such a strategy. In particular, he said that it depends on the “calmness and endurance of Ukraine”, as well as on the “coordination and strength of actions” of its partners.

“We are working on both factors and I urge everyone not to panic, but to remain vigilant and not be led to any provocations, especially in the information space, “the minister emphasized.

Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said that Russia intends to invade the territory of the republic in late January or early February. According to him, for these purposes, Moscow has concentrated more than 92 thousand troops near the Ukrainian border.
