More than 40 people were injured and five died when a car hit a crowd in the United States
as a result of a run over participants in the Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This is reported by The Guardian, with reference to the police department.
A red SUV drove into the crowd at high speed. According to city police chief Dan Thompson, 11 adults and 12 children were taken to the hospital, many go to district clinics on their own. The names and ages of the victims were not disclosed.
Earlier, Thompson said that the city police had managed to detain the suspect. He said that he could not yet say whether the incident was related to terrorism. “There are no other threats. Now the scene is safe, “the policeman concluded.
