The specialist noted that in order to diagnose the patient correctly, he needs to be examined by a doctor.

Earlier, the chief otolaryngologist for the Northwestern Federal District, Sergei Ryazantsev, told how the loss of smell during coronavirus affects the body. This symptom affects all health, the doctor said. He noted that the distortion or loss of smell in COVID-19 causes problems with appetite and digestion. The physician also linked this symptom with a loss of libido.
