The beer researcher and brewer-experimenter believes that Soviet beer was much worse in comparison with modern one. This applies to both the taste and quality of the drink. He is sure that there is not a word of truth in the legends about the wonderful Soviet beer.
“I found“ that very beer from the USSR ”, after all I deliberately started drinking beer in the early 80s and I dare quite categorically to declare that it was worse than the current one, “Zhezlov said.
He noted that since the times of the USSR, brewing has made a big step forward, and modern technologies, raw materials and sanitary and hygienic conditions in production make it possible to brew a hoppy drink much higher quality and richer taste.
