The girl's green hat she bought in the store changed color to brown at her home 
Designer and social media user Otelia Carmen shared a video , on which she captured her new winter hat, and caused bewilderment among subscribers. A related post appeared on TikTok.
On the footage of the video, the girl said that she had purchased a green accessory in the store. However, at home, Carmen discovered that the headpiece was actually knitted with brown yarn. “At first I was surprised: how did it turn brown? And then I realized that it was all about metamerism. This is why lighting is so important in interior design, ”explained the heroine of the material, mentioning the process by which an object can change its color depending on the shade of the light source. Then the blogger said that the color of the hat changed even in different rooms of her house. So, in the living room it has acquired a red tint, and in the bedroom – it has turned brown again.
Carmen's video scored 3.7 million views on TikTok and reminded other users of the meme that spread on the Internet in 2015. Then a photo of a black and blue dress appeared on social networks, which seemed to many to be white and gold. The visual illusion also arose due to certain lighting and image processing.

In October, the girl decided to sell the dress online and made buyers laugh with an optical illusion in the photo with the product. Thus, the photo has an illusion that the girl's elbow sticking out from the side is her naked chest.
