Russian stock market closed lower

The Moscow Exchange Index fell 1.89 percent

The Russian stock market closed with a drop in major stock indexes on Friday, November 19. At the close of the main trading session on the Moscow Exchange, the Moscow Exchange index fell to 4016.47 points (minus 1.89 percent), the RTS index – to 1723.74 points (minus 2.17 percent).

Of 15 companies Only four blue chips from the Moscow Exchange finished in positive territory – Polymetal (plus 0.89 percent, 1,455 rubles per share), Yandex (plus 0.85 percent, 6,044.8 rubles), Magnit (plus 0, 19 percent, 5957 rubles) and Polyus (plus 0.02 percent, 15 807.5 rubles). Most of all, the shares fell in price for Novatek (minus 4.46 percent, 1,638.4 rubles), TCS Group (minus 4.04 percent, 7084 rubles) and Rosneft (minus 3.6 percent, 592 rubles).

The dollar exchange rate at 18:45 Moscow time was 73.39 rubles (plus 0.29 rubles), the exchange rate of the euro – 83.08 rubles (minus 0.02 rubles). Bitcoin was trading at $ 57,959.9 (minus 1.55 percent).
