The corpse of one of the 15 most wanted criminals, Frederick McLean, was found in the US 2006 was on the federal list of 15 most wanted persons. The corpse of a 70-year-old offender was in a private house, the Associated Press reports.
According to forensic experts, the man died four months ago, in July, from natural causes. A local resident turned to the rescue service with a request to check the house. He said that he had not seen his neighbor for a long time.
McLean was put on the wanted list 16 years ago on charges of child sexual abuse. In recent years, he lived under forged documents under the name James Fitzgerald.
As stressed by the police, currently the investigation wants to find out the alleged accomplices of the criminal and find out who helped him get a passport. It is possible that the man could have been involved in a number of other crimes.
