“Bulgaria has passed this test of democracy. She did not succumb to attempts at ethnic division. Reason and patriotism prevailed over apathy and lies, “said Radev.
The current Bulgarian leader wins in the second round of voting with about 64% of the vote, his opponent Anastas Gerdzhikov received 34% of the vote, about 2% voters voted against all.
Earlier Rumen Radev assessed the possibility of enmity with Russia. In his opinion, Moscow cannot be the enemy of Sofia. The head of state stressed the importance of dialogue in relations between the countries. He noted that pragmatism is necessary in foreign policy, and the policy of introducing new anti-Russian sanctions over Crimea has no effect.
