Deputy Sheremet: the invasion of Crimea is too tough for the American army
the American army is capable of invading Crimea. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The deputy said that Russia possesses modern weapons that have no analogues in the world and allow them to destroy the aggressor on the approaches to the borders. “Crimea is reliably protected. Not a single army, including the American one, is too tough to break through the defenses and invade the peninsula, “he said.
Sheremet suggested that the United States would not enter into a direct armed confrontation with Russia. “For this, they have vassals in the person of other states,” he explained.
I am sure that the time has come for the leaders of the leading countries of the world to gather again for an international conference in Yalta and mark the red lines, for which no one owes go in for the peace and future of our planet
Mikhail Sheremet is a member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption
The reason for the comment was an article in the Business Insider publication about the report of the US Special Operations Command (USASOC). It argues that American special forces must be prepared to face foreign military forces of comparable training and equipment. China and Russia were named as possible adversaries, and potential targets could be A2AD systems (restriction and denial of access and maneuver) in the South China Sea and Crimea.
Earlier, Sheremet said that the United States should not “be mischievous.” and test Russia for its strength by passing its ships through the territorial waters off the Crimean coast.
