Ouest-France: conflicts on the border of Belarus and eastern Ukraine threaten war in Europe

French newspaper Ouest-France named the regions of Europe where a big war could break out. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Ouest-France observer Fabien Cazenava, the European Union fears that the situation on the border of Belarus, where thousands of refugees from Iraqi Kurdistan have accumulated, could develop into an armed conflict. The reason for it may be an accidental incident with a Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian or Belarusian servicemen.

Another “powder keg” of Europe, Kazenav considers the Donbass. In his opinion, if the conflict in the east of Ukraine intensifies, then Russia may intervene. He does not exclude that in this case the Russian army will try to create a buffer zone to protect Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea, which will stretch to Odessa and Transnistria.

Kazenav also noted the threat of a renewed civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Earlier, the German political scientist Alexander Rahr said that he sees in the current situation with the migration crisis on the border of Belarus and Poland the risk of a third world war. In his opinion, its aggravation can lead to unpredictable consequences.
