The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia from January to September banned the entry of 140 thousand foreign citizens into the country 140 317 foreign citizens. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statistics of the department on the migration situation.
It is noted that compared to last year, this indicator has practically not changed. Over the nine months of 2020, 141,663 migrants were banned from entering Russia.
Earlier it became known that most often foreigners are prohibited from entering Russia for repeated administrative offenses. Also, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that often foreigners were refused due to exceeding the established time limits for temporary stay in the country, as well as illegal labor activity. In total, there are 22 reasons to temporarily prohibit entry into Russia for citizens of other states.
On October 13, it was reported that Russia had allowed entry to 158 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan. The decision on the “migration amnesty” for the residents of the republic was discussed at a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia Alexander Gorovoy and a delegation from Tashkent headed by the adviser to the Prime Minister of the country Mehriddin Khairiddinov. The Uzbek embassy clarified that citizens previously deported on the basis of a court decision will not receive permission.
