Federal Passenger Company (FPK, subsidiary Russian Railways (RZD) will cancel or reduce the frequency of running of 44 passenger trains, RBC writes with reference to the company's telegram.

The reason for the revision of the running schedule of more than four dozen trains was the drop in consumer demand. in particular, about Express trains from Moscow to St. Petersburg (in November-December and January-April), “Severnaya Palmira” from St. Petersburg to Adler (in January-April), “Strizh” from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod (in January-March on Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays), “White Nights” from Vologda to St. Petersburg (in January-April) and a number of others.

The press service of the FPK said that if necessary or in case of high demand, the frequency of running trains can be increased again lycena. They also noted that alternative trains run on all routes that will affect the changes.

Earlier, Deputy Director General of Russian Railways Dmitry Pegov said that the introduction of QR codes on trains will have little effect on passenger traffic. He expressed confidence that the company's passengers will comply with the requirements of the law and already have the appropriate medical documentation with them, which must be presented when boarding the train.
