EP ad hoc committee: there is “tight competition in the field of AI technologies” in the world
The European Parliament (EP) expressed concern about military research and technological development of Russia and China in the field of weapons using artificial intelligence (AI). Russia Today reports this with reference to the draft resolution, which was presented in the preliminary report of the EP special committee on artificial intelligence in the digital age.

In addition, the authors of the report acknowledged that the EU is lagging behind the favorites of the race “in virtually all categories.” in the field of AI. They also listed in the draft resolution a number of measures that could contribute to rectifying the situation.
