Students of the Amur, Vladimir, Volgograd, Irkutsk and Tomsk regions are obliged to vaccinate. In addition, this requirement applies to students of the Kursk, Kemerovo and Arkhangelsk regions, as well as the Perm and Krasnodar Territories, Dagestan, Adygea, Mari El, Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tuva.
Students of St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Astrakhan, The Nizhny Novgorod and Kaluga regions will need vaccinations to undergo training outside the walls of an educational institution.
Most Russian regions announced compulsory vaccination against COVID-19 in October, five subjects made a similar decision in the summer. Kursk region announced compulsory vaccination in November.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov said that the department opposes the compulsory vaccination of students. According to him, restrictions in educational, scientific, creative or other activities, depending on the presence or absence of vaccinations, are unacceptable.
