She could not cope with difficult emotions, was afraid to tell her family and friends about what had happened, and began to fill the void inside, which arose due to the lack of support, with food. Here is her secret
At 23, Hamilton suffered two strokes. After that, she began to overeat even more, because with the help of food she was trying to recover and distract herself. The tests of the American woman did not end there, and in 2019 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and she again turned to food to cope with emotions and worries.
Hamilton made the decision to radically change her lifestyle during quarantine – she began to exercise regularly and monitor nutrition. Having a negative experience with diets, the girl switched to balancing food without giving up any foods. The American reduced the number of calories consumed and began to enter the calorie content of all the foods eaten during the day in a special application so as not to overeat.
With those who want to lose weight, the girl shared three main rules that she developed in the process of losing weight. First, Hamilton says, you don't need to focus on the number on the scale and consider it the main measure of success. She suggests paying more attention to how you feel, how you look in the mirror, and how your clothes fit. Secondly, the American advised to find out her basal metabolic rate – this will help to understand how many calories the body spends while at rest, and to correctly calculate the required rate. Thirdly, she recommended introducing the new rules gradually, in order to allow herself to get used to the changes and not expose the body to unnecessary stress.
Earlier it was reported that the woman gave up one habit and lost 36 kilograms in a year. She stopped surfing social networks and looking at pictures of mouth-watering sweets in the feed.
