Dzhabarov: non-recognition of Putin as president in 2024 in the United States will lead to the severance of relations

This is how Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, assessed the possible position of the United States, he is quoted by RIA Novosti.
“I am convinced that this document will not pass. But if the resolution is adopted, this will lead to a break in relations between Russia and the United States, “the politician said.
He added that the document proposed by Congressmen Steve Cohen and Joe Wilson is cynical and devoid of common sense.
The proposal not to recognize Russian President Vladimir Putin if he decides to run for a new term in 2024 was submitted to the US House of Representatives by Steve Cohen and Joe Wilson. The proposed document, if adopted, will be of a recommendatory nature.
Earlier, Senator Andrei Klimov said that the United States intends to “torpedo” the elections to the State Duma of the VIII convocation. The Federation Council stressed that Washington and its partners will seek to delegitimize the elections and not recognize their results.
