In the past season, the best result of the women's team under his leadership was the victory in the relay in the seventh stage of the World Cup in Italian Anterselva. In personal races, the highest achievement was the fourth place of Svetlana Mironova in the pursuit at the fifth stage in Oberhof.
Shashilov has been in the position of the head coach of the women's national team since 2020. Prior to that, the specialist served as the head coach of the biathlon team of the Sverdlovsk region. He was repeatedly accused of unfairly taking athletes from his region to the national team.
