Lawyer: Safronov again refused to conclude a deal with the investigation in the high treason case 
Advisor to the head of Roscosmos and journalist Ivan Safronov on a deal with the FSB in the case of treason. This was reported to TASS by the defendant's lawyer Ivan Pavlov ( recognized in Russia as a foreign agent ).
According to him, Ivan refused the deal offered to him with the investigation, the defense is getting acquainted with the case materials.
Pavlov said that a few days ago an investigator came to Safronov's cell and told about the fate of former FSB Colonel Sergei Mikhailov and MVD officer who worked at Kaspersky Lab Ruslan Stoyanov (they were convicted of treason for 22 years and 14 years respectively). After his story, the investigator made a new offer of cooperation to Safronov.
On July 1, it was reported that the journalist firmly decided not to make a deal with the investigation and not give evidence that could harm anyone, including himself .
Safronov was detained and placed in custody on July 7, 2020. He is charged with passing on secret information about Russian military-technical cooperation and the defense industry to the NATO intelligence service.
According to the investigation, he passed on secret information about Russia's military-technical cooperation in Africa and the activities of the Russian Armed Forces in the Middle East to the Czech special services … The journalist does not admit his guilt.
