Russian Prosecutor General Krasnov on a working visit visited the Vostochny cosmodrome under construction 
Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov on a working visit As the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation reported to “Lente.ru”, this visit was the first trip of the General Prosecutor to the construction site.
During the visit, Krasnov inspected key space infrastructure facilities, held an interdepartmental meeting with the Acting General Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation Maxim Ovchinnikov, the Deputy General Director and Executive Director of the State Corporation for Construction, the leadership of the Cosmodrome Directorate, the State Construction Supervision Authority and key contractors.
The Prosecutor General, opening the meeting, stressed that the cosmodrome is the largest national project, which requires not only an unprecedented amount of funding, but also the daily interested participation in its implementation of a significant number of government agencies, enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership.
According to Krasnov, information on the construction progress of the Vostochny is being reported to the President of Russia on a permanent basis. “The specified highest level of control requires the same high responsibility in relation to the execution of the assigned tasks,” he stressed.
The meeting participants discussed the problematic issues of legality during the construction of the first and second stages of the cosmodrome. The Prosecutor General's Office also carried out work to strengthen interagency cooperation in this area. Krasnov demanded strict observance of the law during construction.
Summing up the results of the meeting, the Prosecutor General also pointed out that the problems accompanying the construction of the cosmodrome require the leadership of the Roscosmos state corporation, as well as all interested bodies and organizations, to adopt necessary measures to overcome them.
Earlier, the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov said that the potential for tourist trips to the Vostochny cosmodrome is huge, in 2021 a record number of launches were carried out there. At the same time, he stressed that the development of tourism in the Amur Region rests on the issues of transport infrastructure.
