An apartment building in St. Petersburg was put up for sale without warning residents
An apartment building was put up for sale in St. Petersburg about this its inhabitants. Petersburgers learned about the deal they were planning secretly from an advertisement on a popular website for the sale of real estate, writes “Fontanka”.
The publication on behalf of the realtor Marina Astapova appeared in early November. In the text of the ad, the real estate agent stated that the three-story building, built in 1948, could be converted into a spa area, hotel, cafe, shopping center or car dealership. She also offered to help with the documents for transferring the house to a non-residential fund. Initially, the realtor estimated the object at 600 million rubles, but later decided to reduce the cost to 500 million.
The house has two entrances and 14 apartments, all occupied. According to Astapova, 12 owners have been notified of the deal and are ready to move out. However, the majority of tenants interviewed by Fontanka claim that they found out about the sale of the building by chance, and no one agreed with them about the move. To clarify the circumstances, St. Petersburg residents are going to contact law enforcement agencies.
Marat Khvastunov, a lawyer from the company “SSP-Consult”, noted that a residential building cannot be sold without agreement with the owners of the apartments – people own not only their living space, but also staircases platforms, technical floors, attics and basements. Such issues need to be resolved at a general meeting, which was not held in this case.
Earlier in Novosibirsk it was decided to sell the dormitory of the bankrupt pilot plant without prior resettlement. The building is home to 44 people, whose fate will be decided during negotiations with the new owner. The starting price of the property is 9.3 million rubles.
