“But Arina Vladimirovna, in my opinion, did not belong to such people. This is a serious problem for a region so important, where many interests of both the world agenda and the south of Russia intersect, “Kiselev said.

The political scientist also recalled the scandalous situation when Novoselskaya allowed herself to use obscene language during the meeting. He stressed that this is unacceptable.

Kiselev concluded that in Crimea, library workers, museum workers, guides retained the cultural background, identity and loyalty to Russia, therefore the formal leadership of the Ministry of Culture by such a person is a devaluation of the work of these people, from which becomes bitter and insulting for them.

Earlier it became known that the Basmanny Court of Moscow on November 19 will choose a measure of restraint for the Minister of Culture of Crimea Arina Novoselskaya, who was detained in a corruption case. Investigators intend to petition for the arrest of the suspect.

The official was charged under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Taking a bribe on an especially large scale”). According to the investigation, in 2018 she received 25 million rubles from the owner of Meander LLC, promising general patronage during the construction of the Crimean State Center for Children's Theatrical Arts.
