Cyberpunk 2077 giveaway denied

CD Projekt Red said Cyberpunk 2077 will not appear in Game Pass

Cyberpunk 2077 is not going to be released for free for Xbox consoles. This is reported by the VGC edition.

Rumors about a free distribution of a title between users of Microsoft consoles were denied by the director of public relations of the studio Radek Grabowski. Media journalists drew attention to his post, which appeared on Twitter under the record of the VGC account. “Note that we have no plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 for Game Pass,” a CD Projekt Red spokesman said.

Previously, journalists reported that gameplay footage from the popular Polish studio title appeared in an Xbox Cloud commercial Gaming. Reddit users have noticed that similar footage is present in the game's trailer.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is a cloud-based service that allows users to play games from the Game Pass library. Gamers can play without launching applications, as well as join friends' multiplayer sessions.

At the end of October it became known that the release of the updated Cyberpunk 2077 will not take place until the end of 2021. The new version of the game will be released in the first quarter.
